About The Event

The Derby Bobs invite you to experience the delights of the Derbyshire Peaks and Dales over the late summer weekend of 14th and 15th Septemeber 2024

The Sunday rides will take both the long and short groups from our starting point in the picturesque countryside setting near Carsington Reservoir and into the heart of the Peak District where you will experience some testing but rewarding climbs. Take your time, but get up there and the rewards are amazing.

For those on the long route, we couldn’t come into the Peaks without including at least one of the famous 100 climbs and we've got a nice suprise lined up which we will reveal nearer to the date.  On the way back, the route takes you on a steady climb out of the famous town of Bakewell and into yet more amazing scenery, before rolling down back to a well-earned lunch of Pakistani / Punjabi cuisine.

The medium route is equally scenic and will be mostly rolling hills through the stunning peaks and/or Derbyshire Dales. We'll make sure you work up an appetite with a ride back up to the venue to enjoy a mouth-watering feast that’ll linger in your memories for years to come.

We have a number of around 30 car parking spaces available and would ask brothers who are car sharing to contact brother Shazad on 07968 969 777 to book a parking space.

As we're in the countryside, there will be ample parking available in the surrounding lanes within 5 minutes walk of the venue. All we ask is that you respect the residents and other road users when parking.

For both the medium and long rides, please group yourselves based on your ability and experience, and remember you're riding on public roads and not a closed race track 😊

With just 140 places available it's "first come first served" for the best cycling event of the year. So don't delay, book your spot today.

If there's the demand for a shoter ride, we'll also line up a short late afternoon leisurely 15 miler ride to the historic village of Repton and up to Foremark Reservoir.
